Our Mission
Through a network of over 75+ schools throughout Chicago, we support thousands of students facing hygiene insecurity.
We work with our school partners to provide care closets full of health and hygiene items. The closets are stocked three times a year to ensure students always have access to everyday necessities.
The following is just a sample of items:
- Personal hygiene
- Dental hygiene
- Socks and underwear
- Hats and gloves
- Feminine hygiene
- First aid supplies
Simple. Students are our future.
Data shows close to 15% of all Chicago Public School students will experience homelessness at some point in their education.
By keeping kids in school and conveying dignity and grace, who knows what future leaders we may be cultivating?
If we want to see equity and diversity within our universities and workplaces, we need to start supporting students facing adversity at the most basic level.
Grace “Groove” Cravens Munson, Sarah’s Grandmother
She embodied “dignity and grace” in all that she did. She never failed to offer a helping hand to someone in need or a simple smile to brighten up a stranger’s day. Her happiness and warmth were felt by all who crossed her path. We hope our efforts through The Grace Network would have made her proud.
Our Network
Volunteer Today
Volunteering is a huge pillar of what makes The Grace Network work. As we have no paid employees, we depend heavily on our volunteer network.
